A 30 stencil layer exploration of native Australian flora through precision, detail and relief.  

Banksia is constructed through 30 individually developed stencil layers, each precision cut on mylar film and sprayed in sequence to build tonal depth and structural clarity.  The highest quality spray paints are used with controlled tone and depth planning.  The stencil shows amazing texture and contrast, with the 30 layers of spray paint adding their own unique texture and profile.  

The work is sprayed on 600gsm card and shadow mounted on Khadi rough cotton rag — a heavy, hand made archival paper chosen for its texture and presence.

Each original is then custom framed in a 70 × 70 cm solid timber box frame, allowing the paper to sit forward and breathe within the frame.  

There are only two originals of this Banksia.  Each will come with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed my me and personalised to the buyer.
